History & Personality
Reginald Tallendal was born in a small fishing village between the duchies of Waterdown and Rothgar. He was born in the evening of Murelm 1, 2305 to Gordon and Muriel Tallendal. His father, Gordon Tallendal, is a very wealthy and respectable merchant operating a prosperous financial enterprise. As a young lad, Reginald loved hearing tales of his exciting and adventurous Uncle Sorin. Uncle Sorin Tallendal was a "Savior of Nevan", a brilliant swordsman, witty wordsmith, and the complete antithesis of Reginald's father.

Reginald rebelled at an early age from his father's desires. He refused to learn accounting and salesmanship, only learning a smattering of negotiation tricks and techniques. His passion lay in learning the rapier and archery, just like Uncle Sorin. Father and son fought and bickered constantly. In an effort to teach his son etiquette and grace, Gordon sent him to the Capitol City of E'gath. Reginald soon became infamous in the city for his druken binges, duels, and outlandish behavior. He was often seen at every party and social occassion, bringing drunken entertainment for many nobles. They regarded him as a buffoon and braggart, often ostracizing him in public.

Eventually Reginald realized that this life, while very enjoyable, was missing something. He remembered his dreams of becoming a great hero and swordsman like his Uncle Sorin. Soon thereafter he left the capitol, travelling under the guise of Sorin Tallendal. His first true adventure was to discover a treasure hidden inside an abandoned manor house. He met his boon companion Rayna Blue Eye, and reaquainted himself with an old drinking buddy Gaeln "Trelayne" Ebon.

Soon the trio were traveling through the Duchy of Peirlyean together. Fighting crusty creatures, defeating suspiciously armed brigands, and righting wrongs wherever they went. Eventually the trio found themselves in Modan. A desperate Count requested their aid in saving his lands from vile saboteurs and elven insurgents. The trio fought hard for the Count, including leading the Defense of the Town of Modan from three elven armies.

Sorin became the Captain of the City Guard of Modan, with Gaeln and Rayna as his lieutenants. Soon after the siege the trio was forced to part ways. Eventually Gaeln returned as Sorin's lieutenant, advising and comforting his old friend.

Sorin is a pragmatic warrior, and survivor of horrific odds. His lust for life and alcohol lies just under the surface, but he knows far too many innocent people rely on his sober judgement and attention. He often wears an unneeded eyepatch to throw potential enemies off, but he truly is missing an ear. His long black hair is often braided into a ponytail, and while not beautiful to look upon his eyes have captivated many a young lass.
