Overview of the Duchy
Located on the southern coast of E'gath, the Duchy of Kirodan is nestled between Peirlyean and Rantoric. The Duchy
of Kirodan has a large shipping trade with the Pelini Isles, the Colonies, and the Western Kingdoms. Due to the high
levels of maritime trade, the Duchy of Kirodan has a sizable ocean-going navy and many well-crafted warships. This
Duchy is a huge importer of Dust into the Empire of E’gath, with most of the narcotic coming through the Town of
Riverport. Kirodan also has a good level of agricultural development and textiles.
Duke Marlon Kirodan is an open-minded, curious, and adventurous motul who was born in the year 2297. While he tries
for the best for his people, all of the peasants and commoners living in Kirodan are still HIS people. He has a
modicum of arrogance about his elevated social station in life, but prefers to be magnanimously humble about his
place. He was trained from birth by his father, Jeremy Kirodan IX, as a skilled negotiator and administrator. His
training focused mainly upon negotiation and trade, and as a result he is still a little naïve about imperial
politics. This naiveté has recently been worn down after the ruthless and very cutthroat election of Regent
Rothgar.
Political Information
Duke Kirodan has been gathering support for a larger navy to deal with pirates, elven privateers, and ocean
exploration. The sheer mass of trade in the Sea of E’gath, in his opinion, necessitates a larger and stronger navy.
He currently seems to have made some alliances during the election for his agenda. Regent Rothgar has some plans
for expanding the sea defense of E’gath.
