Letter from Vengeance

Written by Trey Coonrod A month was given, and a month was used. My time is gone, but not wasted. This was merely a test of mettle, a show of strength, of bravado, if you will. I salute the defenders, as I curse the one they protect. Why do you aid the tyrant's line? This one shall merely follow the path laid by his father.

Captain Sorin One-Ear, I salute you. You put up a valiant defense. Still, I wonder how well you could command when you are not able to consult your committee. It shall be interesting to see. Also, it is my understanding that your father is recovering nicely. I look forward to meeting him someday. Perhaps you should introduce us.

As I leave you, I give you a gift. This gift is of despair, of hopelessness and helplessness, of rage and sadness. Perhaps also of lunacy. I can no longer tell. Looking back at what I have done, and what I must yet do, it does not seem to be the actions of myself. And yet they are.

We shall meet again. This was merely a taste of things to come. And in the end, my namesake shall truly be mine.

Vengeance
