Crash Landing

During a Christmas Eve fundraiser for the homeless, Santa and his sleigh was hit by artillery fire over the Hudson River. Once hit, a field around the sleigh was punctured and began to show segments of a strange dark gray metal form much larger than the sleigh itself. Moments later it crashed into the nearby convention center. Many people were evacuated, but some stayed to investigate the
ruined crashsite. Authorities eventually cordoned off the area as a Hazardous site.
Rioters across the world are reported by major news outlets. Most of the rioters are exhibiting heightened aggression, profuse sweating, foaming at the mouth, and other rabies-like symptoms. Upper mental faculties seem impared in the rioters. In New York City, some of the rioting is centered around the crash site.
Strange Sightings

Strange sightings of odd occurances, phenomena, and misshaped figures are noted and reported worldwide. In New York City, a giant "Lizardman" is reported by reputable news agencies to be near the Bronx Zoo. Authorities are able to quietly incapacitate the "Lizardman" and bear him away.

At 10:00 AM EST, President Bush addresses the nation about the mysterious events of the past few days. Unable to provide details, he calls for understanding, calm, and time for a proper investigation. He also provides an emergency contact number to Bellvue Hospital in New York City. Anyone experiencing any unusual symptoms, phenomena, or occurances should contact them immediately. He also critisizes the newspaper article for presumptive and premature printing of information that may damage the investigation.
